BetterMed urgent care clinics will become CareNow urgent care clinics in 2023.
As of June 1, 2022, BetterMed Urgent Care centers in Virginia and North Carolina are owned and operated by HCA Healthcare as CareNow® urgent care. As of August 1, you may start to see the CareNow name on medical records and billing statements.Here are answers to questions you may have about the change.
Yes, all locations will remain open.
Our normal clinic hours will remain the same seven days a week 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. Holiday hours can be found at BetterMedCare.com
Yes.
Yes. If you were seen at a BetterMed clinic, our providers will be able to access your medical history.
Yes.
No. We will continue to provide urgent care services for minor illness and injury, as well as lab services, X-rays and PCR testing.
Yes. There is no change in the list of insurance plans we accept.
Yes. You can still check in online and come into the clinic for your scheduled appointment time.
Of course. Walk-ins are always welcome.

- If you were seen at a BetterMed clinic before August 1, please email MedicalRecords@BetterMedCare.com. To speak to a Billing Representative call (804) 639-1947.
- If you were seen at a BetterMed clinic after August 1, complete a Medical Release Authorization Form at CareNow.com and fax a copy of the completed form with a copy of your driver’s license to (855) 874-5286 or send via email to ucc.medrecs@parallon.com.
