Where were you born? Raised?

Born in Queens, NY and  Raised in New Jersey


Where do you wish you’d been born and raised? Why?

Colorado Mountains.  Skiing. Snow Boarding, Mountain Biking,


Super hero powers you wish you’d been born with?

Mind Reading like Professor Charles Xavier


Favorite pet growing up?

Family dog Pebbles.


Favorite activity as a youngster & why?

BMX racing. Adrenaline junkie


Why did you get into emergency care?

Once again, adrenaline junkie


What was your biggest hurdle as a med student?

Not playing foosball in the student lounge and attempting to study in the library


What obscure or unexpected class did you struggle with in undergrad?



At what moment did you know you wanted to be a doctor?

Watching E. L. Clemens perform surgery.


Where did you study— undergrad and medical school?

University of Richmond, Eastern Virginia Medical School


Craziest thing you’ve seen working in an ER?

The best stories are the ones that are not appropriate for this blog. Let’s just say one patient told me he “slipped in the shower.”


Weirdest midnight snack?

Cold chili


How do you balance working long/late hours as an ER doctor?

Seeking adrenaline in my recreational activities.


What actor would play you if you were cast as a character in ER or Grey’s Anatomy or something like that? Why?

The older ladies call me McDreamy.  Everyone else thinks I’m John Carter.


Favorite recreational activity?

Mountain Biking


Guilty pleasure TV show/movie? Go on, we won’t judge?

Dexter. Man is it creepy.


Any other random factoid that we should know about you?

My innate ability to mimic accents.
