We love you mothers everywhere….!
~Agnes, “Despicable Me 2”
Moms are the jack of all trades. They are our:
- alarm clock
- cook
- maid
- waitress
- teacher
- nurse
- referee
- handyman
- security officer
- photographer
- counselor
- chauffer
- event planner
- hairdresser
- personal assistant
- ATM
- and they scare aware the boogy man.
They don’t get paid holidays, sick pay or days off.
Moms work 365 days a year, 24/7 and will be ‘on call’ for the rest of their lives— and they have the highest paid salaries possible— UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
But is Mother’s Day REALLY only one day out of the year? Of course not, we love and honor our mothers every single day.
You don’t need to break the bank to make your mom feel special on Mother’s Day. Just get creative and make her feel pampered.
- Give your mom a homemade beauty treatment ( http://www.pinterest.com/karenlw_brown/homemade-spa-treatments/ )
- Cook a week’s worth of meals for your mom ( http://mealmakeovermoms.com/mealtime-tools/7-day-meal-planner/ )
- Run errands for your mom
- Clean your mom’s house ( http://www.sheknows.com/parenting/articles/808049/how-to-get-your-kids-to-help-with-the-housework )
This Mother’s Day, make mom your first priority and show her just how much she means to you— all day long. You don’t have to buy your mom anything and you don’t have to do anything extraordinarily special.
Simply be there!
“My Mother”
There are Angels God puts on this Earth
Who care for us and guide us.
You can feel their love and gentleness
as they walk through life beside us.
They do great things for us very day
they whisper in our ears,
they even hold us in their hearts
when we are filled with all our fears.
They are always there to give a hug
And try to make us smile.
They treat us with respect and love,
They treat us like their child.
God blessed me with an Angel,
I’m proud to call my own.
She’s been with me throughout my life,
Been with me as I’ve grown.
She’s guided me the best she can,
She’s taught me like no other,
And I’m thankful I’m the lucky one
Who gets to call her…… My Mother.
