Recipe: Healthy Banana Ice Cream

Banana ice cream is a great alternative to traditional ice cream. It’s lower in sugar and fats and higher in protein than traditional ice cream, letting you enjoy a sweet treat with less guilt. Add different flavorings like chocolate chips, vanilla extract, peanut butter, or fruits like strawberries to create your own flavors.

Ingredients:

  • Frozen bananas
  • Sugar
  • Milk (optional)

Directions:

  1. Peel frozen bananas and chop
  2. Add bananas, a tiny bit of sugar, a dash of milk if you like and your flavoring of choice to a blender.
  3. Blend until chunky.
  4. Scrape the sides
  5. Blend until creamy.
  6. Scrape again.
  7. Blend until well mixed.

 

Once you’re done blending, spoon into a container and freeze for at least an hour.
